Age Timeline - Celestia

This was soooooo difficult to finish, the different gradients of Tia's mane made me go crazy!  But do you know what'll be far worse? Coloring Luna's version of the timeline ç_ç _{what have I got myself into?!}
Well, anyway. I was very unsure whether to keep her four-colored mane for every age or change the shades each time, but in the end I opted for a compromise: since I've always liked the idea of her having a pink mane as a filly, I decided to use it as a sort of progression - yellow and orange as a newborn to represent the Sun's colors, then pink shaded with yellow as a passing phase, then pink 'cause I liked it and finally the different hues of green and lilac to symbolise... harmony or something.



Newborn
Even though the show seemingly denied this, I headcanon both Celestia and Luna being born as Alicorns from a couple of Alicorn parents. I had some deisgns for the Royal Sisters' parents, but they're so outdated that I can't consider them valid. My original idea was much more complex, but I've changed my headcanon and decided to change their parents' names in Uranus and Gaia. I'll eventually draw them as well.
Though Celestia's exact age is unknown, she's said to be at least a couple of centuries older than Luna. She was born as Heiress to the Sun and stars, which colors reflected in her mane and tail, and was soon worshipped as young Goddess of light and hope.

Filly
Celestia got her cutie mark around the time her sister was born. Her father showed her the beauty of her asters and Sun, and explained her it'd be her duty to raise it and, in the future, rule as an honest and fair monarch. The young Princess spent a lot of time with her little sister and loved her company more than anything. Due to unknown reasons, however, when Luna was still quite young the sisters' parents disappeared, leaving the fillies completely alone. Because of this, Celestia acted as an almost maternal figure to Luna, even though the two share a very strong sisterly bond as well.

Teenager
Luna's rebellion started little time after her sister became more independent and authoritarive as ruler. Celestia never ignored the younger's feelings and always noticed her bitter behavior, but was often too busy with royal duties to effectively do anything. Communication between the sisters was almost absent and that's what hurt Celestia the most. After many void attempts, she eventually decided that leaving her sister alone would be better - but that was her mistake.
Luna heaped her vengeance and wrath not only on her sister and the castle, but on Equestria's population as well. After banishing her, Celestia sorrowfully took the crown as sole Queen of the land and ruled on her own for a thousand years, regretting her choice every single day.

Young adult
As a lot of you may know, I've chosen to include the comic arc "Reflections" in my headcanon. Some decades after Luna's banishment, Celestia undertakes a relationship with King Sombra from the other universe. Though the two never married, Celestia had two fillies from her lover and they both swore eternal love to each other. Sombra sadly got to know only one of his duaghters, the elder Hibiscus Petal, even though Celestia had told him she was expecting another foal.
The two lovers will never see each other again for the mirror leading to the other universe has been destroyed, but all three mares miss the benevolent King deeply.

Adult
And finally, the Princess seen in the show. Patient, kind and understanding, yet powerful and eminent as well. As diarch of Equestria, together with her sister, she's known all over the world and is also often seen as a religious character: in many cultures, she's the immortal Goddess of the Sun, but also represents truth, forgiveness and liberation.
