Contest entries - children of adventure

These three are my entries for the amazing 's contest. I've tried not to get too attached to them, but unfortunately I've already thought about their personalities and even backstories ç_ç Oh, well. If none of these wins (which is pretty likely to happen), I'll keep all three of them with pleasure <3 It's the first time I take part in a contest, so I hope I did everything right lol I chose to draw three characters because three was the highest number of entries you could draw, sooo... Plus, I was kinda inspired and wanted to play with color palettes a little

The point of the contest is to design at most three Darizotl next generation OCs and suggest names for them. After choosing my own names (only 4, but eh), I took a look at other contestants' choices and felt suddenly pretty stupid, since everyone translated words like "brave","adventure","stars" and stuff into the Aztecs' native language, Nahuatl, while I simply glanced at a few Aztec gods and chose a few  
The names I suggest are the following:
Xipe (complete name Xipe-Totec), god of diseases, agriculture and transition from life to death (and viceversa).
Nahual, kind spirit showing itself in the form of an animal.
Atlacoya, goddess of drought.
Chantico, goddess of volcanoes and fireplace. 
As for the designs, I'll admit I had a lot of fun drawing these characters. 

The female on the left takes mostly after her mother: she's got the back hooves and head of a pony, even though her ape-like forearms and tail are the same Ahuizotl has. I also gave her some Aztec jewelry, the collar, earrings and tail... bracelets or something. The feathers on her head are purely decorative, just like anything else she wears. I imagine that she'd be able to use relics and small sculptures to channel her magic: the red symbols under her eyes glow brightly whenever she's using her powers, but it's a very tiring activity for her.

The male on the top right is of the same species as his father (front and tail claws instead of hands; hind paws; sharp fangs) and only his beige spots and pony muzzle resemble Daring Do's features. Even though he's an earth creature, he's very agile and especially good at climbing trees. Due to an accident, his left eye is blind and deeply scarred, like his left ear. Though he has no magical powers, he protects fiercely a temple in the depth of a forest and has got the same blood-tempered personality as Ahuizotl. I know I shouldn't have, but I also thought about his deeper character and headcanon him as a very conflicted soul. But... I'll leave that behind for now.

Finally, the third OC. The male on the bottom right doesn't really convince me, but I really like his violet jaguar-spots, which I took from Ahuizotl's back, and the mane and tail styles I gave him. He's got the wings and front hooves of his mother, but feline hind paws and head. I imagine him as a kind and gentle creature, closer to ponies and normal life than how his father and mother used to be. He's good-natured and dislikes Ahuizotl's crave for treasures and danger. He's also a solitary type and likes to fly high above the forest to feel at peace.


...Ugh, I fell for it again. I'm now in love with all these three. _{the female and earth male are my babies} It's not like I have many chances of winning, though. Well, I'll see what happens when the rank is shown! in the meantime, you all should cross your fingers for me <3
