Next Generation - Somblestia

You didn't expect it, did you...? Well, yes, as you can see, I ship SombLestia, or what they call it (psst, any names?). I've literally fallen in love with their story told in the issues and - shut up those who are ready to say "No! Mrs. Faust said it isn't!" - I believe the comics are canon.
I really really enjoyed reading them (even though I haven't finished yet) and the story was truly interestig, the one of the mirror. The heart-breaking romance of the two have drawn my attention since the very beginning, when Celestia shouted "Let me say goodbye!" or somethig like that while Star Swirl was closing the portal... And now I ship it. Hard. I doubt there'll ever be anything able to change my mind on this one, because, for once, the story was very well thought and drawn. So, yeah, it's pretty much hooked me quite a lot. But don't worry, it's not like I'll start drawing only this couple in any possible way. Nah, almost no chance, 'cause that place belongs to AppleDash x3 Anyway, coming back to the topic. Guess what? I love this couple so much my lazy mind even created their foals, alas :3 Then let me introduce you to Lily Bouquet and Hibiscus Petal! Yes, these two fillies are now canon in my headcanon AU and I personally like how they turned out. The one on the right doesn't look like she might be a SombLestia child? Pony genetics. That'll be my answer to all such questions :3

Hibiscus Petal
Complete name: Hibiscus Petal
Nicknames: Petal, Bibi (only if at a certain distance from her or if in particular confidence)
Gender: Female
Age: apparently -  18/19; effectively - slightly more than a millenium
Species: Pegasus
Mother: Princess Celestia
Father: King Sombra
Unique Talent: Creating perfumes or elixirs with little magical power from rare flowers
Story: It was long before Luna's banishment when Celestia discovered about her pregnancy. She was scared of telling her lover because she feared he would abandon her, but as time passed (an alicorn's pregnancy usually lasts more than a normal mare's, and even more if the female is immortal, as in this case), Sombra noticed Celestia's nervousness and not-so-well-hidden pain, so the Princess decided to let him know anyway. And, against her best hopes, the Unicorn was very happy he was going to be father, even though he knew he'd have to get over many difficulties. Celestia gave birth to the small Pegasus filly in Sombra's kingdom and decided to leave there their daughter to avoid any kind of danger and blame she'd have had to go through in her world. And so, Hibiscus Petal spent her first decades of life in her father's castle, staying as much time as she could with both her parents, when she had the rare chance. Because of her usual loneliness, she grew more and more unsure of herself, and this side of her transformed into arrogance or pride whenever she had to face something or someone. She didn't know that, but her father suffered much because of her behaviour and often spent whole nights crying in his chambers, alone, thinking of his beloved. Petal never got to know his sorrow. When Celestia visited Sombra's kingdom for what she didn't know being the very last time, Petal succeeded in sneaking through the portal with Celestia without being noticed (she had longed to see mother's realm for once), and has lived in her dimension since then, with only the Princess taking care of her.
The Pegasus filly has a cocky and often quite conceited attitude, but she's extremely kind to those who truly suffer and ask for help. She trusts nopony but her father and has a quite turbulent relation with her mother, but she loves both of her parents and would never bretray them.
She discovered her talent when she was barely a teenager (but had just aged more than 200 years), and since then she has a particular fondness of rare flowers and exotic animals, so she loves travelling and discovering strange creatures. Because of this interest of hers, she's often got into dangerous encounters and even fights, but she's always come out alive, thanks to her strength and agility.



Lily Bouquet

Nicknames: Lily, Navy (only by her sister)
Gender: Female
Age: apparently - 16/17; effectively - more than a few centuries
Species: Unicorn
Mother: Princess Celestia
Father: King Sombra
Unique Talent: Soothing souls with a special aura only she has
Story: Lily was conceived little time before Princess Celestia's sister was exiled to the Moon. Using the excuse of the sorrow she felt for her sister's absence, the white alicorn spent most of her time alone in her chambers, trying in any way to keep the incoming birth a secret. She delivered her second daughter there, with no assistance or any kind of help, but, fortunately, there was no complication. Too ashamed to even tell her servants or anypony else, Celestia went into the most secret of the underground chambers and created an impassable force field. Inside it she put a cradle and let her daughter rest. With the same alibi she had used during her pregnancy, even though now Luna had come back, Celestia stayed with Lily Bouquet and nursed her almost all day long, away from any other pony except Hibiscus Petal. Since little before Lily's birth, the Princess had not visited the other universe because she had been caught in the act by her mentor, so King Sombra has never seen his second daughter. Celestia dreamt every night to meet Sombra, show him their daughter and then live happily all together in a world where it didn't matter what dimension you came from, but every time she woke up and painfully remembered that that could not possibly happen. Hibiscus Petal once saw her mother crying in her bed after one of  those "nightmares", and realized in that moment that she would never see her father again. The sorrow for mother and daughter grew even more as Lily Bouquet grew up, because she recalled so much the Unicorn King that she had never met, but that the other two ponies loved with all their heart.
Lily Bouquet is a very patient and sympathetic Unicorn filly who loves making friends and spending time with both her mother and "adopted" aunt, Princess Twilight Sparkle. She's particularly keen on books and myths told in such books. She speaks Prench and Neightin very well and loves learning foreign cultures. She might seem naive but she hardly trusts blindly ponies who aren't her dearest friends.
She got her cutie mark while comforting her sister the one time the latter had been abandoned by what she believed was her best friend. Since then, Lily found out that her special talent helps her solacing sorrowful hearts and calming angry souls because she has a unique aura able to restore peace any time she believes it is necessary.



Naturally, Lily Bouquet and Hibiscus Petal could not live in the darkness all their life long, so one day Celestia finally decided to tell her sister about everything and showed her the two fillies. Together, the royal sisters announced to Equestria that now the family was expanded, and officially presented Celestia's daughters during an important ceremony. The Princesses' subjects welcomed the young sisters with open arms, but their backstory hasn't been revealed to the public yet.
In a quite distant future, Celestia takes her daughters to where their father has been since his defeat: Tartarus. All three mares cry with sorrow as the King simply growls and turns his back to them, then they leave, carefully avoiding facing him again. Well, at least so do the youngest of the three. Celestia, in fact, will be forever tortured in her dreams by the shining tear running down her beloved's cheek as he hid in the dark of his prison.
