The Belles

Finally! These 4 were impossible to do. I couldn't find decent positions. But I have to say, Pearl Seashell and Magnum Cordium Belle were funny to draw. Oh, and Sweetie. So lovely <3 Ahem!


Pearl Seashell was born in Manehattan, in a well-to-do family composed only of Unicorns. She was fond of cooking since she was a little filly (she loved preparing topsoil cookies for her dolls), and she learned very fast how to do things. At the university, she became a cheerleader and she always performed for the school's team, the Bold Colts (sorry, I have a lack of imagination ç_ç). The rugby players never won a single competition, until a new student decided to join them. His name was Magnum Cordium (which means "Big Heart") his cutie mark was composed of three rugby balls. Needless to say that he was great.He soon became the team's captain and thanks to him, almost every match was won. Not only was he a skilled player; he also was a good speaker and his enthusiasm and desire to win infected the whole team. He was successful even with fillies. They were always around him, giggling and sighing, but he looked like he didn't care. There were only few of them which resisted him: Pearl and some of her friends. However, not much later they fell in love with him as well, one after the other. Pearl seemed still somehow skeptical about him. She thought he was too perfect; he had to have a bad side, a shortage in something. But as time passed, and Magnum's facets all showed one by one, Pearl started to believe he was just like he let other ponies see him.
One day, Pearl went out with a group of friends. Amongst them, there was Magnum as well. The two got on well with each other, but they could still consider "acquaintances". As the evening passed, Pearl found herself alone with the stallion. - Can we trust you two alone? - Pearl remembered her best friend asked her. Pearl had blushed heavily, but she knew she didn't like Magnum that way. They were barely friends. Also, the stallion had a marefriend. So, nothing to worry about. At least, until Magnum stroked his horn on Pearl's and gave her a small lick on her cheek. She folded her ears, unsure on how to react. She discovered too late that her lips had made contact with the stallion's, and that she was actually enjoying it. Not even a slight piece of guilt in her mind. She didn't have to justify what was happening to anypony. After all, it wasn't her who had taken the initiative. 
The next day, however, not everything went as she thought. Magnum's (ex) marefriend had glowered at Pearl all the day, and Magnum pretended that nothing strange had happened. This hit Pearl heavily, as her conscience kept on telling her: "See? I was right! He does nothing but have a little fun, and than abandon you!" She shook her head every time this sentence came back to her mind, but it was useless. He probably had done the same thing with all the other mares, judging by the look on their face when he looked at her. The same disappointed feeling visible on Pearl's muzzle, as well. 
Weeks and months passed. One afternoon, after a won match, Magnum approached Pearl. She snapped at him and walked away, heavy heart but fixed pride... More or less. Later, as Pearl was leaving the school, Magnum trotted towards her again, but this time, before she could say anything, Magnum told her he was sorry to have behaved like that, and that he had felt something different with her. Not the usual fun, but something more true. Pearl was surprised, but she didn't trust him completely yet. She thought he was lying, but he wasn't. To prove it, the following month, every day, he repeated what he had said to the pink mare that evening, hoping she would believe him. One night, however, Pearl interrupted him middle-sentence. With a kiss. She explained she had started to believe him since the third time he had "apologized", but she wanted to see how much he could last. And if he really loved her, he wouldn't give up.
When the couple graduated, decided to go and live together. Magnum opted for Trottingham, but Pearl was tired of the frenzy of those cities. So, they moved to Canterlot. This gave Pearl the chance to get a job as a cooker in a famous restaurant. She also taught Magnum how to prepare sweets, so they also opened their own bakery. Things were going pretty well, the balance of their life was just perfect and they wanted nothing to change, neither for better nor worse. But something did happen: Pearl was pregnant. She had to stay at home since the middle of the pregnancy, due to the great pain it caused her. And even if waiting was stressful and aching, Pearl and Magnum had never been so happy as to see their small bundle of white fur in the mare's embrace. Shining Rarity Belle was the most beautiful thing they had, but it was also one of the most weary. The little creature was never quiet, and as soon as she learned how to move, she never stopped for a second. It was a torture for her parents, but they were repaid by the sight of the filly sleeping peacefully in the middle of the night. Well, this, until she woke up and started giggling, wishful to play. Luckily, as Rarity grew, she calmed down until she became more reserved and a little conceited. Her interest had gone from dolls to dolls' clothes, and she loved to draw dresses she thought being perfect for her soft toys. Her passion grew, and it wast noticed by the school teacher, who often asked Rarity for the recitals costumes. 
One day, when the violet maned filly was 10 years old, Magnum received a call from the hospital. It was a nurse. She said Pearl had started labour soon than expected, and that now she was having troubles in giving birth to the foal. Worried, Magnum rushed out of the house, saying to Rarity that he was going to visit mum at the hospital. Rarity had started to worry, as well. However, she had nothing to do but wait behind the front door for her father to come back. 
Unfortunately, the little foal was born with breathing problems and the doctors said she wasn't going to last more than a few hours. The news destroyed Pearl and Magnum, who was holding his little daughter tightly, wishing not to leave her. The white creature didn't cry, when she was given birth, and now she was barely whimpering. Even though she was almost hopeless, the doctors kept her in observation, with a small hope to save her life. The following days were terrible to the parents, but Magnum had kept his promise to come back home, and he had told Rarity that Pearl was ill and she had to stay in the hospital for some other time. In the meantime, Rares was going to stay at her uncles'. She didn't like them. They were bigots and boring Unicorns with a strong power to annoy who was near them. But the filly wanted her mum to feel better, so she did what her father told her: to behave good and wait. Magnum came to visit his daughter every day at the same hour for a whole month, as Rarity's hopes decreased. What she didn't know was that, actually, her sister's health was improving. It did it slowly, but it was becoming better. And before giving the filly back to her parents, the 40th day, the doctors said: - This filly's strong: she didn't give up. She's like a diamond: nothing can impair her. - And so, Pearl and Magnum decided to call her Sweetie Diamond Belle.
Rarity couldn't contain her surprise and happiness when she was the little bundle hold by her mother, as her parents came back home. She was amazed by the sight of the filly, and the two white Unicorns stared at each other for quite some time before Sweetie giggled. The filly's health conditions were checked twice a week until she was 2 years old, but she had no problems since the first time.
