Next Generation royals

Some more headshot/expression practice! This time it's with the princes and princesses in my next gen cast, whom I loved drawing with their royal accessories <3 My favorite are Hev (obviously) and Flurry here (I'm getting addicted to her color palette, ugh), but I'm satisfied with how the others came out as well :3


- Lily Bouquet and Hibiscus Petal are the daughters of Celestia and Mirror!Sombra. Petal's slightly bigger than Lily and she took her colors from her mother. Though they're both pretty patient, Lily enjoys royal meetings and duties a bit more than Petal, mainly because she gets the chance to check out charming princes and ambassadors. A lot of them tend to flirt with both sisters, but none has really caught their eyes yet.

- "If you'd like to hear Our humble opinion, little sister, you look beautifully astounding tonight."

Heavenly Aster and Raven Dusk are the adoptive children of Luna. Hev's always trying to be all funny and nice, but Raven's grumpy most of the time so she usually ignores him. I had a lot of fun designing her collar/necklace and made it like the opposite version of her brother's (which I'd already shown here). As I'd mentioned in that same drawing, Hev refers to himself using plural pronouns, though not for gender/identity reasons: he simply does, probably because the memory of Luna scolding him in the royal Canterlot voice still has quite an impact on him. He's not serious at all, though, unlike his sister.

- Morning Star and Evening Tune are Twilight Sparkle and Flash Sentry's twins. Star's four names are overkill, Flash knows this, but Twilight doesn't and insisted so much on giving her first foal two names that her husband couldn't risk her having a nervous breakdown in the labor room. The young Pegasus' complete name is actually pronounced in reunions and councils only, but he doesn't like it anyway. He gets incredibly bored whenever he's forced to attend any and generally plays card with his sister under the desk.

- Flurry Heart, Diamond Blade and Topacio Radiante are the three children born from Cadance and Shining Armor. Despite being a pretty Alicorn mare, Flurry's got the size of her father, if not more, and could crush her youngest brother under her hoof. I'd anticipated her royal outfit here, but perfectionated it a bit more, adding a tiara of sorts and changing a bit the design of her mane decorations. During councils and royal business she's used to sitting there and being adorable, letting her parents deal with the boring stuff. Diamond usually participates a bit more, when he's not trying to calm his brother down. Topacio, of course, hates everything about royal meetings, mainly the fact that he has to sit just next to his father, and likes to express his annoyance vocally. He isn't descreet at all and doesn't mind if other ponies will get a horrible image of Shining, in fact that's what he tries to do. Diamond attempts to make him reason, so Topacio often gives up after the first quarter of hour.
